Reading, Pa. (April 5, 2008) – Cabrini College edged out a victory against Alvernia, winning by a score of 5-4. Junior Drew Brandsetter pulled out a closely contested 3-set victory at #5 singles over sophomore Ryan Lineaweaver (Robesonia, Pa./ELCO) 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, to secure the winning point for the Cavaliers.

After winning 2 out of 3 tightly contested doubles points, they dropped only 2 games combined between the #2 and #3 slots, en route to victory. Sophomore Zachary Lockwood (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) won at #1 singles for the Crusaders and also teamed with senior Phil Snyder (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) for a victory at #1 doubles. Also victorious for the Crusaders were senior Kyle Levengood (Fleetwood, Pa./Brandywine Heights) and freshman Eric Snyder (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame).
