Radnor, Pa. (Mar. 30, 2009) - Alvernia University (1-7) fell behind 2-1 after doubles play and fell on match short of completing a comeback in a 5-4 loss at Cabrini College (4-5) Monday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Cabrini.

The Cavs won a key point at No. 2 doubles with a 9-8 (10-4) win to take the early 2-1 lead and then split the singles matches which was enough to earn the win.

Alvernia earned wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 1, 3, and 6 singles.

The Crusaders travel to Wilkes for a Freedom Conference match on Wednesday.
