Reading, Pa. (April 7, 2010) - Misericordia University (3-8) won five out of six singles matches to pull away for a 7-2 win over Alvernia University (2-4) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Angelica Park.
The team of
Nathan Bauer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional)) and
William Gerber (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) earned a point in doubles play with a 9-7 win at No. 3 and
Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) took a three-set win at No. 3 singles for Alvernia.
The Crusaders return to conference action Saturday at Lycoming.
