Reading, Pa. (April 12, 2010) - Alvernia University (3-5) got wins from each of the last three singles matches to take a come-from-behind, 5-4 win over FDU-Florham Monday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Angelica Park.

The Crusaders got just one point out of doubles play with the team of Kevin Brandt (Sodus, N.Y./Sodus) and Aaron Dearstyne (Sinking Spring, Pa./Governor Mifflin) winning 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.  The Crusaders then got wins from four different players in singles play for the one-point win.

Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) earned a win at No. 2 singles and Nathan Bauer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) won in three sets at No. 4 singles including a tiebreaker win in the third and deciding set.

Alvernia returns to conference play on Thursday at Lebanon Valley.
