Reading, Pa. (April 28, 2010) - Alvernia University (7-8) inched closer to .500 for the season with a 9-0 blanking of DeSales University (1-13) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Angelica Park.

The Crusaders won all six singles matches in straight sets.  Zach Lockwood (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) teamed to win at No. 1 doubles and won singles matches at No. 1 and No. 3 respectively.  Between the two they lost just one game all afternoon.

Alvernia will wrap up the season with a non-conference match at Gwynedd-Mercy on Thursday.
