Crusaders Open With 7-2 Loss At Misericordia

Dallas, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2010) - Alvernia University (1-0) opened the 2010-11 season with a 7-2 loss at Misericordia University (1-1) Friday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action.

The Crusaders got both of their points in singles play with Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) earning a straight-set win at No. 2 and Will Gerber (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) doing likewise at No. 3.

Alvernia will continue the fall schedule at Cabrini College on Saturday.
