Reading, Pa. (Apr. 11, 2011) - Arcadia University (2-7, 1-2) nipped Alvernia University (4-8, 1-2) in a Commonwealth Conference men's tennis match 5-4 Monday afternoon on Fan Appreciation Day at Angelica Park.
The Knights forged ahead winning two of three doubles matches the split the singles matches to hold on for the win. Alvernia senior
Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) had a come-from-behind win at no. 1 singles while
Nate Bauer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and
Ryan Ludwig (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) both won in straight sets.
Alvernia will continue the conference schedule Tuesday traveling to Elizabethtown College.
