Williamsport, Pa. (Apr. 9, 2011) - Lycoming College (5-3, 3-1) cruised through all three doubles matches then won five of six singles matches for an 8-1 win over Alvernia University (4-7, 1-1) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference men's tennis action at Lycoming.

Alvernia senior Jed Spangler (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) earned the Crusaders' point with a three-set win at No. 1 singles.

Alvernia will continue the conference schedule hosting Arcadia University Monday for Fan Appreciation Day.
