Elizabethtown, Pa. (May 2, 2012) - Top-seeded Eliabethtown College (12-6) rolled into the Commonwealth Conference Men's Tennis Finals with a 5-0 victory over #4 Alvernia University (8-8) Wednesday afternoon in semifinal action at Etown.

The Jays took each of the top two doubles flights with 8-1 wins and had a 3-0 lead in the match with a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles since the Crusaders only had five players make the trip.  The Jays took a 4-0 lead with a forfeit win at No. 6 singles and needed just one more point to win the match.  They got the final point with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Alvernia did lead in one match with senior Ryan Ludwig (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) holding a 5-3 lead in the first set at No. 5 singles, but in team tournament play once the necessary five points are earned, all other matches are declared unfinished.

Etown will host Lebanon Valley College in the conference final on Saturday.
