Lebanon, Pa. (Oct. 14, 2013) - Sophomore
Zach Arsenault (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) shot 7-over 79 to finish in a tie for 15th place and lead Alvernia University to a 322 team total and third place out of 12 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Men's Golf Fall Invitational hosted by Lebanon Country Club.
The Crusaders have placed third at LVC in three of their last four appearances.
Juniors
Chris Van Natta (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) and
R.J. Cummings (Moorestown, N.J./Bishop Eustace) both shot 80 and sophomore
Brett Fernandes (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) rounded out the counting scores with an 83.
Arsenault played his first four holes of the day in 4-over including a lost-ball double bogey on his first hole of the day, the par 5 15th. He righted the ship when he made the turn to the front and birdied the first eight holes on the outward nine before a bogey at the par 3 9th. He carded two more bogies on first five holes on the back to conclude his day.
Cummings posted 80 with seven bogies, a triple at the par 3 12th, and two birdies. One at the par 4 6th and a second on the par 5 10th. Van Natta also birdied the 10th and had 12 pars, three bogies, a double and a quad. Fernandes had seven bogies and two doubles on his card with no birdies.
Albright junior Avery Jones earned individual low medalist honors with a 1-over 73. Franklin & Marshall took home the team award with a 307.
