Reading, Pa. (Apr. 22, 2013) - Alvernia University (9-8) took two out of three doubles matches then won at each of the top three singles flights in a 5-4 win over Immaculata University (10-4) Monday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Angelica Park.
The Crusaders got key singles wins from seniors
Nathan Bauer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and Will Gerber (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) at No. 1 and No. 3 singles respectively. Gerber played in the only match of the day that went three sets rebounding from a 6-1 loss in the second set for a 6-1 win in the deciding set.
The Crusaders wrap up the regular season Saturday hosting Lebanon Valley College.
