The Bobcast opened the scoring in the second inning with a single, a triple, and a sacrifice fly to open up a 2-0 lead.  After a scoreless third inning the Crusaders surged ahead with three runs in the home half of the fourth.  The bottom three batters in the order all singled to load the bases and Miranda Peto (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) hit a sacrifice fly to center and Sam Penk (Lincroft, N.J./Middletown South) singled home the next two.

Alvernia was able to bring the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with one out, but back-to-back strikeouts ended the game.  The Crusaders will take on #6 Stevenson University in the losers bracket final.
