Racine, Fitzgerald, Bellacima Earn All-MAC Commonwealth Honors

Reading, Pa. (May 8, 2026) - Alvernia University Softball's Kelsey Racine, Alexia Fitzgerald and Meryn Bellacima all earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors for their performances during the 2026 season, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference Friday. 

Racine, a senior, led the way with a Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection as a pitcher. Racine appeared in 23 games for the Golden Wolves and made 11 starts during her senior campaign and recorded five wins and three saves. Racine posted a 3.34 ERA, which was the lowest on the team and was also the fourth lowest ERA in the MAC Commonwealth. Racine tossed 86 innings in 2026, allowed 96 hits, which was the eighth lowest in the Commonwealth, struck out 31 batters and held opposing batters to just a .273 batting average, which was the fourth lowest in the Commonwealth. Racine also recorded saves against Franklin & Marshall, York and DeSales and tossed complete game shutouts against Hood and Dickinson. This is Racine's first All-MAC Commonwealth honor of her career. 

Fitzgerald, also a senior, grabbed Honorable Mention All-MAC Commonwealth honors as an outfielder. Fitzgerald played in 37 games for the Golden Wolves during her senior season and started in all 37 of those games. Fitzgerald batted .312 for the Golden Wolves and recorded 39 hits, 25 runs scored, four doubles, one triple and 14 RBIs. Fitzgerald also worked 16 walks, one hit by pitch and tallied 15 stolen bases. Fitzgerald recorded 14 games with two or more hits and posted six games with three or more hits including a stretch of four games in a row with three hits. Fitzgerald also recorded 42 putouts in 45 total chances, recorded one assist and committed just two errors in the outfield to finish with a .956 fielding percentage. This is Fitzgerald's third All-MAC Commonwealth honor after she earned Second Team honors in 2023 and First Team honors in 2024. 

Bellacima also earned Honorable Mention All-MAC Commonwealth honors as a designated player in her senior season. Bellacima played in 30 games for the Golden Wolves in 2026 and posted a .326 average with 29 hits, 14 runs scored and 17 RBIs. Bellacima worked eight walks, hit four doubles and one home run, which came in a win over Widener, and struck out just 11 times. Bellacima recorded 11 games with two or more hits and posted a three hit game in a win over Widener with two RBIs, a double and a run scored. This is Bellacima's first All-MAC Commonwealth honor of her career. 

Messiah's Fallon Feaser was named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, Eastern's Emily Trzonkowski was named Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year and Messiah's Allie Book was named Defensive Player of the Year. The Messiah Coaching Staff was named Coaching Staff of the Year.
