Allentown, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2015) - Freshman
Emily Gilbert shot a 9-over 81 to lead Alvernia University to a 370 team total and third place out of seven teams after day one of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships at Allentown Municipal Golf Course.
Gilbert was 1-under on her day through the first six holes and finished the front nine at 2-over. She posted a 43 on the back and sits in a tie for third place a stroke behind two players from SUNY-Cortland.
Cayla McCarty is tied for 11th after shooting 89 on Saturday,
Rachel Fritz is tied for 21st with a 99, and
Jordan Kissner rounded out the counting scores for the Crusaders with a 101.
SUNY-Cortland leads the team event by 32 strokes after shooting a 332 on Saturday.
Alvernia returns to Allentown on Sunday for a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start in day two of the ECAC Championships.
