Alvernia Seventh Late In First Round At Kutztown

Kutztown, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2016) - Sophomore Emily Gilbert shot 85 to lead Alvernia University to a 376 team total and seventh place out of eight teams at the Kutztown Univeristy Women's Golf Fall Invitational.

The first round was halted due to darkness with eight players still on the golf course and will be completed before Monday's second round begins.

Alvernia junior Cayla McCarty shot 94, sophomore Jordan Kissner carded 95, and senior Marisa Lombardo posted a 101.

Franklin Pierce leads the tournament after shooting 323 on Sunday.  It was led by Zoey Yamamoto who leads the individual field after shooting 76.
