St. Davids, Pa. (Mar. 29, 2016)  - Freshman Emily Gilbert shot 88 to finish in a tie for sixth place out of 74 players and lead Alvernia University to a 413 team total and seventh place out of 12 teams at the Eastern Univeristy Women's Golf Invitational Tuesday afternoon at St. Davids Golf Club.

Kutztown University shot 345 to win the team event and Lebanon Valley's Megan Kimmel posted 81 for individual low medalist honors.

Alvernia sophomore Cayla McCarty shot 97, Jordan Kissner shot 106, and Marisa Lombardo posted a 122.

The Crusaders are back in action next Monday at the Muhlenberg Invitational hosted by Lehigh Country Club.
