Gwynedd Valley, Pa. (Mar. 30, 2016) - Gwynedd-Mercy University (3-3) opened with three decisive wins in doubles play to set the tone for a 9-0 win over Alvernia University (2-6) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Gwynedd-Mercy.

The Griffins dropped just five games in three doubles matches and opened singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1.  The Crusaders had three of the six singles matches go three sets, but the Griffins ultimately prevailed in all three.

Alvernia returns to the conference schedule Saturday at Arcadia.
