Frederick, Md. (Apr. 9, 2016) - Alvernia University (3-7, 1-1) got off to a great start with three wins at doubles--including a 9-7 win at No. 2--then took four singles matches in a 7-2 win over Hood College (2-9, 0-2) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's tennis action at Hood.

Colin MacCloskey teamed for the extra-game win at No. 2 doubles after the Crusaders took 8-1 and 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles respectively.
