Elverson, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2016) - Freshman Emily Gilbert shot 89 to finish in a tie for third place and lead Alvernia University to a 417 team total and third place out of six teams at the Ursinus College Women's Golf Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon hosted by Stonewall Golf Course.

Gilbert posted 41 on the front nine and 48 on the back.  She carded six pars on the day.

Cayla McCarty and Jordan Kissner both shot 105 and Marisa Lombardo finished at 118.

Neumann University's Lauren Cusak shot 83 for low medalist honors and Ursinus put four players in the top seven to shoot 372 for the team title.

Alvernia continues the spring season hosting its invitational Wednesday at Ledgerock.
