Williamsport, Pa. (Apr. 23, 2016) - Alvernia University (4-9, 2-3) expanded on its 2-1 start after the doubles flights to take a 6-3 win over Lycoming College (6-9, 1-4) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis action at Lycoming.
The Crusaders opened the day with wins at No.1 and No.2 doubles, both by way of 8-4 matches.
Luke Hanger continued his success in singles play, taking the No.1 flight in straight sets. Hanger's doubles partner,
Reid Hoff, followed suit, taking the No.4 singles flight in 7-5, 6-3 sets.
Jacob Conapitski and
Antonio Gaetani collected Alvernia's final two points of the day as they claimed No.3 and No.6 singles, respectively.
The Crusaders complete their spring season next Saturday, hosting Lebanon Valley College at 1:00 pm.
