Reading, Pa. (Sept. 20, 2016) - Antonio Gaetani secured a 10-4 victory in the final set of his singles match to lift Alvernia University (2-0) past Cabrini College (0-1) Tuesday afternoon in non-conference Men's Tennis action at Angelica Park.
After falling 6-2 in the first set, Gaetani handily took the second set 6-1. Gaetani then captured the No. 6 singles matchup in the final frame to unlock the 4-4 tie.

Todd Unger doubled up on the day, both collecting wins in singles and doubles play. The duo posted the Crusaders first point against Cabrini at No.3 doubles, notching an 8-1 win.
Down 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles action,
Luke Hangen evened the score with a pair of 6-2 set wins at No.1 singles.
Freshman
Addison Hanna then made the most of his Alvernia debut, putting the Crusaders ahead 3-2 with a 6-2, 6-0 win in No.4 singles.
The Cavaliers mustered a straight set win at No.2 singles and a heated three set win at No.3 to move to a 4-3 advantage.
Unger then delivered at No.5 singles, defeating Cabrini's Joy Patel in 6-0 straight sets to tie the match 4-4.
Coach Zerbe noted, "Our depth and commitment to daily improvement secured this team win."
The Crusaders look to earn another team win on Thursday, traveling to Penn State Berks for a 3:30 matchup.
