Stroudsburg, Pa. (Oct. 14, 2017) - Junior Emily Gilbert posted a 7-over 79 to lead Alvernia University to a third place finish out of five teams at the East Stroudsburg Invitational hosted by Glen Brook Golf Club Saturday afternoon.

Gilber's 79 was good for a fifth place finish individually.  Kutztown had three players post rounds under 80 led by Rebecca Graham who shot 76 to take the team title.

Alvernia freshman Briana Hocker shot 88 to finish in a tie for 11th, senior Cayla McCarty shot 91 to finish tied for 14th, Jordan Kissner tied for 21st with a 98, and Hannah Smith shot 107 to finish 27th.

Alvernia is back in action on Monday at the Eastern University Fall Invitational.
