St. Davids, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2017) - Junior Emily Gilbert shot an 86 in windy, cool conditions at St. Davids Golf Club Monday afternoon to lead Alvernia University to a 371 team total and third place out of five teams at the Eastern University Women's Golf Fall Invitational.

Millersville University placed four players in the top five and took the team title with a 344 by 21 strokes over Eastern.

Gilbert finished third.  Jordan Kissner and Cayla McCarty both shot 94 to finish in a tie for 13th place and Brianna Hocker posted a 97 to finish 17th.

Gilbert was strong at the end of both nines posting four straight pars on the front nine to shoot 41 then three in a row to finish the back nine in 45.

Alvernia closes the fall season at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Saturday.
