Jordan Kissner shot a career-best round of 90 and Alvernia University finished fifth out of six teams at the Alvernia Spring Invitational Thursday afternoon hosted by Ledgerock Golf Club.
Kissner set a career low of 92 a week ago at the MAC Preview hosted by Hershey Country Club.  She posted matching 45s on the front and back nine at Ledgerock with five pars in her round.
Sophomore
Emily Gilbert led the Crusaders with a round of 87,
Cayla McCarty shot 105, and
Jenna Trento posted a 117.
West Chester University had four players in the top seven and shot 334 to nip Kutztown University by a stroke for the team title. Â Rebecca Graham (Kutztown) and Samantha Miller (East Stroudsburg) both shot 79 to tie for first place.
Gilbert carded six pars in her round and McCarty had a pair of pars--both on the par 3s on the back nine.
Alvernia continues the season Saturday at the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
