Quarryville, Pa (April 2, 2017) – Sophomore
Emily Gilbert finished tied for ninth for Alvernia University during women's golf action on Sunday at the Millersville Invitation, hosted by Tanglewood Manor Golf Club.
Gilbert's round of 90 led the Crusaders to a tem total 404 and a seventh place finish at the par-72, 5,815 yard course. Gilbert was the highest DIII finisher in a field that consisted of three DII schools.
Cayla McCarty carded a 91,
Jordan Kissner posted a 100, and
Jenna Trento rounded out the counting scores for the Crusaders with a 123.
West Chester's Lacey Bensing took the individual title with a round of 78. West Chester also took home the team title with a 333 team score.
The Crusaders are back on the links on Monday, competing in the Muhlenberg Invitational hosted by Lehigh Country Club.
