Lafayette Hill, Pa. (Oct. 21, 2018) - Freshman
Yupha Muzyka fired a 10-over 82 to finish tied for first and pace Alvernia to team score of 363 on a cold and windy day at the Jefferson University tri-match, hosted at The ACE Club.
Alvernia finished in second place, 20 strokes behind Jefferson University. Dominican also competed in the field with an individual.a
Muzyka finished tied for first with Jefferson's Kenley Lingenfelter - with both being named co-champions - in the field of 11.
Muzyka posted five pars on the her front nine, including a par on the par 5 5th to start a four hole run that included three pars, and was capped off with a birdie on the par 4 13th. Muzyka played bogey golf on the next four holes before finishing with another par on the par 5 18th.
Finishing two strokes behind Muzyka, and t-3rd overall, was senior
Emily Gilbert. Gilbert posted a four pars on her front nine, and, like Muzyka pared the par 5 9th to go on a run of her own. Gilbert pared the next two holes, the par 4 10th and par 4 11th, but bogeyed the next two. She then played her final five holes at one-under par after carding four consecutive pars on 14, 15, 16, and 17. Gilbert capped off her round with a birdie on the par 5 18th for a back nine score of 37, and a round of 84.
Senior
Jordan Kissner finished in third for the Golden Wolves, and 7th overall, with a 22-over 94. Kissner started off her day with a par on the par 4 1st, and bookended her front nine with a par on the par 9th. Kissner carded two more pars on the back nine, with a par on the par 3 12th and par 5 16th.
Rounding out the scores for the Golden Wolves was sophomore
Briana Hocker. Hocker finished in 9th with a round of 103. Hocker's front nine was highlighted with a par on the par 3 6th. She then started off her back nine with a par on the par 4 10th, and she went on to par the remaining two par 3s at the 12th and 14th.
The Golden Wolves have an eight day break and close out their fall season on Monday, October 29th at the Arcadia University Invitational, hosted at Cedarbrook Country Club.
