Mohnton, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2018) - Freshman Luke Fagley shot a 7-over 79 to lead Alvernia University to a 344 team score and 5th place out of nine teams at the Alvernia Home Invitational hosted by Ledgerock Golf Club Tuesday afternoon.
Joe Polidoro shot 84, Kyle Millard shot 85, and Joe Bode rounded out the counting scores with a 96. Â Penn State-Berks won the team title with 298 and Millersville's Matt Spak won individual low medalist with a round of 2-under 70.
Fagley started his day with five straight pars then carded bogies on 6, 7, and 8 before closing the front nine with a birdie at the par 4 9th. Â He made pars on six of the first seven holes on the back nine, but took a triple bogey on 13.
Polidoro was 3-over through six before a stretch of four straight bogies. Â He righted the ship with a par on the tough par 4 11th and followed with a birdie at the par 4 12th, but carded a double and a triple in the last six holes to shoot 84.
Millard shot 41 on the front nine with a birdie on 8, but made two doubles and four bogies on the back.
Alvernia continues the fall schedule on Monday at the F&M Invitational hosted by Bent Creek.
