Yupha Muzyka shot a 15-over 87 to pace Alvernia to a team score of 383 and second place finish on a rainy Sunday at the Jefferson University tri-match, hosted by The ACE Club.
Muzyka improved by five strokes from her Alvernia debut a week ago at Glen Brook Country Club. The round of 87 was good for a third place mark, finishing 13 strokes behind Jefferson's Kinley Lingenfelter, who finished with a 2-over 74, and eight strokes behind Jefferson's Olivia Raihl, who shot a 79.
Finishing second for the Golden Wolves was sophomore
Faith Hughes, who fired a 94 for the second consecutive match to finish in sixth pace.
Senior
Jordan Kissner finished in third for the Golden Wolves with a round of 98 and a ninth place finish.
Sophomore
Briana Hocker rounded out the counting scores for Alvernia with a t-11th finish and a round of 104.
Freshman
Maggie Arnold showed a 13 stroke improvement from her first match last week to finish with a round of 105 as Alvernia's fifth player.
With Jefferson's Lingenfelter and Raihl finishing one-two, Jefferson took the team title with a score of 335. Arcadia University finished the day with a team score of 408.
The Golden Wolves have a 24 hour turnaround, and continue their fall season tomorrow at Ursinus's Fall Invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club.
