Sanatoga, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2018) - Freshman Yupha Muyzka fired a career low 6-over 77 to take the low-medalist honors and pace Alvernia to a second place team total of 370 at the Ursinus Fall Invitational hosted by Raven's Claw Golf Club.

Muyzka finished five strokes ahead of second place finisher, Hannah Yanoski from Millersville.

Muyzka started her day on the par 5 1st hole with a par. She had a bogey on the following ball, but settled in nicely for four more pars over the next five holes. Muyzka then got her first career birdie on the short par 4 8th, and bogeyed the ninth for a front nine score of 38. Muzyka played her final nine holes at four-over par for a back nine score of 39 and a total score of 77.

Also firing a career low was freshman Maggie Arnold, with a round of 94. Arnold started her day on the par 3 3rd with a bogey. She went triple double on the next two holes, but settled in for three consecutive pars on the par 3 6th, par 5 7th, and the par 4 8th. Arnold finished her round with five pars for the t-12th round of 94.

Sophomore Briana Hocker also fired a 94 to tie with Arnold at 12th place. Hocker started her day on the par 4 2nd  with a bogey, and went bogey on the next two holes before getting a par on the par 4 5th. She finished the front nine with a score of 48. Hocker settled in for two more pars on the back nine for a nine hole score of 46 and 18 hole score of 94.

Rounding out the scores for Alvernia was sophomore Faith Hughes, who shot a 105. Hughes started her day with an 8 on the par 5 1st, but settled in for two bogeys and a par on the next three holes. She finished the front nine with a 51. Hughes finished her round with a par on the par 4 18th for a round of 105 and 21st place finish.

The Golden Wolves finished with a 2nd place team score of 370, 25 strokes behind Millersville University, in the field of six.

The Golden Wolves continue their fall schedule on Sunday at Millersville's Invitational at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club.
