Carlisle, Pa. (Mar. 23, 2019) – Senior
Emily Gilbert earned low-medalist honors with a round of 80 to lead Alvernia to a first place finish with a team score of 363 on Saturday at the Dickinson College Invitational, hosted at the United State Army War College – Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
Gilbert posted a 40 on the front nine with a birdie on the par 4 2nd and posted a 40 on the back nine as well with a birdie on the par 4 15th. Gilbert finished her round with eight pars.
Finishing two strokes behind Gilbert and in second place overall was freshman
Yupha Muzyka with a round of 82. Muzyka posted a 40 on the front nine with three pars and two birdies. She finished the back nine with four pars for a nine-hole score of 42.
Hocker finished in third for Alvernia and t-5th overall with a round of 91. Hocker's round was highlighted by back-to-back pars on the fourth and fifth holes, and she did it again on the back nine on 12 and 13.
Rounding out Alvernia's scores was
Maggie Arnold with a ninth place round of 110. Arnold posted 55's on the front and back nine for her 110.
Alvernia finished 13 strokes ahead of second place Dickinson.
