Chung Shoots 77 To Finish Fourth

White Haven, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2019) - Kyung Chung shot 77 to lead Alvernia University to a 316 team total and third place out of 11 teams at the DeSales Spring Invitational Friday hosted by Mt. Laurel Golf Club.

The Golden Wolves will return to Mt. Laurel in two weeks for the 36-hole MAC Commonwealth Championships to be contested April 27-28.

Luke Fagley shot 79 for the second time in two tries at Mt. Laurel, Jake Duffy shot 78 and Joe Polidoro posted 82.

Chung finished in a 4-way tie for fourth place. He started his day on the par 4 6th with a bogey then ran off three straight pars on the last three holes of the front. He played the back nine in four over with two bogies and a double, and carded his first birdie of the day on the par 3 4th before closing with bogey at 5.

Duffy posted 6-over with four bogies and a double. He shot 38 on the front and 40 on the back.

Fagley started on the par 4 5th and made bogey on three of the first five holes. He played the back nine in 1-over 37 with a birdie on the par 5 13th and bogeys at 14 and 18.

Polidoro posted 10-over with seven bogies and a triple.

Alvernia is off for the Easter week and will return to action on Monday the 22nd at the Arcadia Invitational hosted by Cedar Brook.
