Luke Fagley shot 9-over 79 to lead Alvernia University to a 326 team total and sixth place out of nine teams at the Ursinus Invitational Tuesday afternoon hosted by Stonewall Golf Club's North Course.
Fagley opened with a great up and down for par at the par 3 ninth played the first 12 holes of the day in 3-over par with nine pars and three bogies. He made a bogey at the par 5 3rd, his 13th hole of the day, and finished the round with six straight bogeys.
Kyung Chung shot 80 for Alvernia playing the front nine in 37 after a 43 on the back.Â
Joe Polidoro shot 81 for the Golden Wolves. He started the day with a double and three straight bogeys then played the next 11 holes in 2-over with nine pars and a bogey before finishing with doubles on two of his final three holes.
Jake Duffy rounded out the counting scores for Alvernia with an 86. He opened on the par 4 7th going bogey-birdie then made eight 5s and a 6 on the back to shot 46. He found a little bit of rhythm with pars on each of the first three holes on the front but made bogey at 4, 5, and 6.
Alvernia is off until Friday when it will get a peak at the conference championship course playing in the DeSales Invitational at Mt. Laurel.
