Keon Taylor were named Alvernia Players of the Week for their performances during the week of February 10th - February 16th, 2020.
Amanda Tony earns her third Alvernia Player of the Week honor after breaking the Alvernia record in the long jump with a mark of 5.34 meters on Saturday at the Susquehanna Invitational. The jump also moved Tony up to second place in MAC standings. Tony also jumped 11.04 meters in the triple jump on Saturday. Both jumps were good for fourth place.
Keon Taylor earns his first Alvernia Player of the Week honor after avering 17.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Golden Wolves. In a setback to Lycoming on Wednesday, Taylor scored 17 points, including a 3-for-4 effort from beyond the arc. He also added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. In a crucial 67-64 win over Widener on Saturday, Taylor scored a team high 18 points. He was 5-for-12 from the field and 7-for-8 from the line. He also had seven assists, four rebounds, and two steals for Alvernia.Â
Women's Track and Field competes in their final invite before the MAC Championships on Friday at the Armory College Last Chance Invite. Men's Basketball closes out their regular season tomorrow with a home game against Albright College.
