Allentown, Pa. (Oct. 11, 2021) - All five Alvernia Men's Golfers fired sub-80 rounds as Jake Duffy brought home low-medalist honors and Alvernia came away with the team title on Monday at the Muhlenberg Invitational, hosted at Lehigh Country Club.

Duffy shot a 4-over 74 and Alvernia finished with a team score of 306.

After starting his round with four straight pars, Duffy moved to 1-under with a birdie on the par 5 6th. A bogey on the 7th moved Duffy back to even, where he stayed at to close out the front nine. Duffy played his back nine at 4-over par to finish with a 74. He finished one stroke ahead of Drew's Mike Ford and Arcadia's Brooks Hoofman, who finished t-2nd with rounds of 75.

Finishing in second for Alvernia and t-4th overall was Jack Lynam with a score of 6-over 76. Like Duffy, Lynam also birdied the par 5 6th to highlight his round.

In third for Alvernia and finishing t-8th overall was Luke Fagley with a round of 7-over 77. Fagley carded two birdies on his round, both on the front nine. He birdied the par 5 6th as well as the par 4 9th.

Both Joe Polidoro and Tyler Cebular posted rounds of 79 to contribute one 79 to Alvernia's team score. Polidoro carded two birdies on his round, both on the back nine. He posted a birdie on the par 5 11th as well as a birdie on the par 3 16th. 

The team win is Alvernia's second of the fall season. The Golden Wolves also posted a win to open the season at the Albright Fall Invitational.

The Golden Wolves return to action next Monday at Franklin & Marshall's Fall Invitational.
