Alvernia Falls To Messiah, 9-0

BOX SCORE Grantham, Pa. (April 13, 2021) - Messiah University (4-1) swept Alvernia University (0-4) 9-0 in Men's Tennis MAC Commonwealth action on Tuesday.

The Falcons took three points at doubles to start the match off. Alvernia's closest loss in doubles play came at #1 doubles, with Michael Brophy and Kevin Angeles trailing just 5-3, but the Falcons took the final three games of the set for the 8-3 win.

Messiah then completed the sweep with six two-set wins at singles play.

The Golden Wolves return to action on Saturday at Lebanon Valley College.
