Alvernia Fifth After Day One At Golden Oaks

Fleetwood, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2021) - Alvernia University Men's Golf sits in fifth place after the first day of competition at the Arcadia Invitational, hosted at Golden Oaks on Friday.

The Alvernia men sit in fifth place in the field of 11 teams with a team score of 311. The Golden Wolves are three strokes back of fourth place, and just six strokes back of second place. Franklin and Marshall sits atop the leaderboard after posting a 294 on day one.

The men teed off first thing this morning, with Alvernia's Joe Polidoro going off first. Polidoro fired a 76 on his first day to lead Alvernia. Polidiro eagled the par 4 16th after a slam dunk approach shot for a two on the card. He currently sits in t-10th.

Jake Duffy sits in second for Alvernia and t-13th overall with a round of 77. Luke Fagley and Jack Lynam sit in third for Alvernia and t-23rd overall with each firing a round of 79.

Jas Fuhrer of F&M holds the lead with a round of 69.

Alvernia returns to Golden Oaks tomorrow for the final day of the invitational.
