Orwigsburg, Pa. (September 8, 2021) - Alvernia Men's Golf senior
Luke Fagley shot an even 72 to take home low-medalist honors and pace Alvernia to a first place finish with a team score of 317 at the Lions Fall Invitational, hosted at Schuylkill Country Club.
Fagley started his day with three straight pars before posting a bogey on the par 3 4th. He followed that with two more pars before going back to even with a birdie at the par 4 7th. He would go onto post an even 36 at the turn.
On the back nine, Fagley continued with four straight pars before recording an eagle on the par 5 14th. After pars on 15 and 16, Fagley would return to even with bogeys on 17 and 18 for an even round of 72.
Finishing second for Alvernia and t-4th overall was Jake Duffy with a round of 7-over 79. Duffy's round was highlighted by birdies on the par 5 8th and par 3 15th.
Finishing third for Alvernia and 8th overall was Joe Polidoro with a round of 10-over 82. Rounding out the counting scores for Alvernia was Jack Lynam with a t-10th place finish of 84.
Fagley finished three strokes ahead of the second place finisher, Drew Morris from Penn State Berks with a round of 75.
Alvernia took first place seven strokes, with Berks finishing in second with a team score of 324.Â
Alvernia returns to action on Monday at Saucon Valley for the Moravian Invitational.Â
