Men's Golf Takes Fourth at Hood

Frederick, Md. (Oct. 11, 2022) - Alvernia University Men's Golf took fourth place at the Hood College Fall Invitational on Tuesday at PB Dye Golf Course.

The Golden Wolves finished with a team score of 335, just eight strokes back of top finisher York College. The invitational was a preview of the 2023 MAC Commonwealth Men's Golf Championship slated for April.

Jack Lynam led Alvernia with a round of 6-over 78 to finish t-8th. In second for Alvernia and t-8th overall was Owen Wisner with a round of 88.

Luke Fagley and Tyler Cebular rounded out Alvernia's counting scores with rounds of 87 and 88 respectively.

Zachary Lessley finished three strokes back of Lynam with a t-6th round of 81, and John Engle took t-11th with a round of 84. However, Lessley and Engle were designated as individuals for the invitational, so his 81 did not count towards Alvernia's team score.

Albright's Ben Egin took low medalist honors with a round of 77.

Alvernia is back in action on Monday at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational.
