Fagley Fifth, Alvernia Fourth at MAC Preview

Fleetwood, Pa. (March 26, 2022) - Luke Fagley paced Alvernia to a fourth place finish in the field of eight on Saturday at the 2022 MAC Preview, hosted at Golden Oaks Golf Club.

Luke Fagley paced the Golden Wolves with a round of 4-over 76 in Alvernia's first competition of the spring season to finish t-5th overall.

The MAC Preview was set to be a two-day competition, but day two was canceled due to forecasted poor weather conditions.

Fagley was 1-under after five holes after posting a birdie on the second along with four pars on the opening five holes. He went 2-over on the rest of the front nine to make the turn at plus one. Fagley moved back to 1-under with a birdie on the par 3 13th before going +4 on the final five holes to finish at 4-over 76. He finished four shots off of low-medalist Nick Fioravante of York.

Finishing in second for Alvernia and t-10th overall was Jack Lynam. Lynam posted a birdie on the par 3 4th and par 5 11th. He also finished with eight pars on the day.

In third for Alvernia and t-16th overall was Zachary Lessley with a round of 81. Lessley's round was highlighted by a birdie on the long, par 5 18th finishing hole.

Rounding out Alvernia's counting scores was Jake Duffy with a round of 84.

Joe Polidoro finished his first day with a round of 86, and Holt Albertson competed as an individual with a round of 88.

Alvernia is back in action on Sunday, April 3rd for day one of the Hershey Cup at Hershey Country Club.
