Lancaster, Pa. (April 18, 2022) - Alvernia University Men's Golf competed at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational on Monday, with Jake Duffy leading Alvernia to a ninth place team finish at Bent Creek Country Club.

Duffy carded a 10-over 81 for Alvernia's low round of the afternoon. He paced Alvernia to a team score of 342 for a ninth place finish in the field of 15.

Duffy carded four pars on the front nine and five on the back nine. He was 5-over on both sides for his round of 81 and t-24th place finish.

Finishing five strokes off of Duffy and t-46th was Joe Polidoro with a round of 86. Polidoro was 9-over on the front nine, but birdied the par 4 7th hole. He had five pars on the back nine, including three straight pars to close out on 16, 17, and 18.

In third for Alvernia with a round of 87 and t-49th overall finish was Zachary Lessley. Lessley's round was highlighted by a birdie on the par 4 7th and seven total pars. 

Jack Lynam rounded things out for Alvernia with a round of 88 and a t-53rd place finish. Lynam had five pars on his round, including four on the back nine.

Franklin & Marshall's Blue team took first place overall with a team score of 301. Lebanon Valley's Brandon Staniszewski took low-medalist with a round of 71.

Alvernia is back in action tomorrow for its home invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club. It's Alvernia's final tune-up before the MAC Commonwealth Championship this weekend at Golden Oaks Golf Club.
