Alvernia Second, Fagley Third After Day One of MAC Commonwealth Championship

Fleetwood, Pa. (April 23, 2022) - Luke Fagley led Alvernia Men's Golf on Day One of the 2022 MAC Commonwealth Championship on Saturday at Golden Oaks Golf Club.

Fagley shot a 2-over 74 to pace Alvernia to a t-2nd place finish with a team score of 308. The Golden Wolves are tied with Stevenson, and both teams are 10 strokes off of York. Fagley is three strokes back of York's Riley Rohlfs. Rohlfs shot a 1-under 71.

Fagley posted a 4-over 40 on the front nine before putting a stellar performance together on the back nine. A birdie on the par 4 10th was Fagley's first of three birdies on the back nine. He also birdied the par 4 16th and par 5 18th closing hole. Fagley finished the back nine at 2-under for his round of 74.

Both Jack Lynam and Jake Duffy finished with rounds of 76 and are t-7th going into day two tomorrow. Lynam's round was highlighted by birdies on the par 5 5th and par 4 14th. Duffy finished with birdies on the par 4 10th and par 4 12th.

Rounding out Alvernia's first day counting scores was Joe Polidoro with a round of 82. Polidoro carded three birdies on his round, but had just five pars on his day.

The Golden Wolves will be in the final groupings tomorrow, with Zach Lessley leading the Golden Wolves off the tee at 12:12 PM. Fagley will tee off at 12:48 PM in the final group.
