Boreman Leads Alvernia to First Place at Elizabethtown

Hershey, Pa. (Sept 14, 2022) - McKylie Boreman fired a round of 4-over 75 to lead Alvernia to a first place team finish on Tuesday at the Elizabethtown College Invitational, hosted by Hershey Country Club East.

Boreman's round of 75 led Alvernia to a first place team finish with a team score of 321, edging Catholic University by seven strokes.

Boreman was 1-over through the front nine with four pars and back-to-back birdies on the fifth and sixth holes.

Boreman then finished her back nine with a 3-over performance - paring six of the nine back nine holes to finish with a round of 75.

Finishing in second for Alvernia and fourth overall was Katie Lapinsky with a round of 7-over 78.

Lapinsky did not card a birdie, but she did par 11 of the 18 holes on the challenging East Course. She pared seven holes on the front nine and four on the back.

Yupha Muzyka finished two strokes off of Lapinsky with a round of 80 to finish fifth overall.

Muzyka's round was highlighted by birdies on the first and fifth holes. She then closed out the back nine with seven straight parts for her round of 80.

First-year Rylee Stenzel rounded out Alvernia's counting scores with a round of 88, and Grace Spielman played as Alvernia's fifth with a round of 92.

Stevenson's Casey Oppenheimer took low-medalist honors with a round of 1-under 70.

The Golden Wolves return to action on Monday, September 26th at the Stevenson University Invitational.
