Boreman Paces Alvernia at Stevenson Invitational

Upperco, Md. (Sept. 26, 2022) - McKylie Boreman paced Alvernia University to a second place finish at the Stevenson Invitational on Monday in women's golf action at Piney Branch Golf Club. 

Boreman finished second overall with a round of 79 to lead Alvernia to a second place team finish with a score of 358. Catholic University took first place with a team score of 341 and Stevenson's Casey Oppenheimer took first place with a round of 77.

Boreman started off her round with birdies on two of her first four holes and also had pars on the 7th and 8th holes to make the turn at 4-over. Boreman then pared five of her last nine holes for her round of 79.

Finishing in second for Alvernia and t-5th overall was Rylee Stenzel with a round of 83. Stenzel went par-birdie-par to close out her front nine. Stenzel pared four holes on the back nine, including three pars on her final four holes.

In third for Alvernia and 9th overall was Katie Lapinsky with a round of 87. Lapinsky's round was highlighted by a birdie on the par 3 16th.

Rounding out Alvernia's counting scores was Grace Spielman with a round of 109 to finish 22nd overall. 

Autumn Wolf played as Alvernia's fifth and finished with a round of 126 to finish 27th overall.

Alvernia is back in action tomorrow with its home invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club.
