Boreman, Alvernia Take First at Home Invitational

Mohnton, Pa. (Sept. 27, 2022) - McKylie Boreman took low medalist honors to lead Alvernia to a first place finish on Tuesday at the Alvernia Fall Invitational, hosted by LedgeRock Golf Club.

Boreman shot a 10-over 82 to edge teammate Rylee Stenzel - who shot an 11-over 83 - for low medalist honors. Alvernia took first in a field of four teams with a team score of 341.

Boreman started off her day on the par 4 1st hole. She went 6-over through the first six holes before settling in with three straight pars to close out her front nine. Boreman kept that momentum going through the back nine, starting off with a par on the downhill par 3 10th. She then took advantage of holes 11 and 12, posting back-to-back birdies. Boreman put her approach shot within eight feet on the long par 5 13th to convert a par. She then closed out her round with a par on the long 559 yard par 5 18th.

Finishing just one stroke off of Boreman for a solo second place finish was Stenzel with a round of 83. Stenzel started with a bogey on the par 4 3rd hole before carding pars on four of her final six holes on the front nine. She had four pars on the back before closing out her round with back-to-back pars on the 1st and 2nd holes.

In third for Alvernia and t-5th overall was Yupha Muzyka with a round of 86. Muzyka's round was highlighted by a birdie on the 11th hole. She posted six pars on her round, including four on the back nine.

Rounding out Alvernia's counting scores with Katie Lapinsky with a round of 90 to finish t-10th. Lapinsky finished with six pars on her round.

Grace Spielman played as Alvernia's fifth with a round of 111.

Autumn Wolf and Tory Sarge played as individuals for Alvernia with Wolf shooting a 113 and Sarge finishing with a 123.

Alvernia is back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Arcadia Shootout.
