Golden Wolves Compete at Rutgers Show

Ringoes, N.J.(November 1, 2023) - Alvernia University competed at the Rutgers Equestrian Show on Saturday at Brookside Show Stables in Ringoes, N.J. on Saturday.

Carissa Foster led the Golden Wolves with a second place finish in the Introductory Flat on Adrian. Foster's second place finish was the best finish for Alvernia on the day and pulled her within three points of qualifying for Regionals.

Emma Hackett recorded the next best finish for the Golden Wolves on Saturday with a third place finish in Intermediate Flat on Toto and her third place finish also brought her within three points of Regional qualification.

Evelyn Gombar took fourth in Novice Flat on Adrian and Ashleigh Leinbach took fourth in the Limit Flat on Ice and also posted a seventh place finish in the Limit Fences on Turtle. With her fourth place finish in Limit Flat, Leinbach is now five points away from qualifying for regionals.

Karis Howell posted a seventh place finish in the Limit Fences on Tigger and Christiana Walko also took seventh in the Limit Fences on Darby. Abbie Miller finished seventh in the Open Fences on Hayley and Thanea Redrovan finished reserve in Pre-Novice Flat on Eclipse to round out Alvernia's finishes.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Blue Ridge Stables for the East Stroudsburg Show.
