BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 Myrtle Beach, SC (March 9, 2023) - Maggie Loomis and Kelsey Racine combined for a no-hitter in game two of the afternoon as Alvernia University (6-0) picked up wins against Cazenovia and Hunter College on Thursday in Myrtle Beach on the fourth day of Alvernia's spring break trip.

Alvernia started off the day with a 15-3 win over Cazenovia, and capped off the day with a 12-0 win over Hunter. In the 12-0 win over Hunter, Loomis and Racine combined for a no-hitter in the circle. Loomis went four innings with a strikeout, and Racine finished off the game going one inning and striking out two.

Alvernia's offense put up seven runs against Hunter in the first inning and never looked back, adding three more in the second, and two more in the third. Alexia Fitzgerald, Payton Splain, and Payton Lascala finished with two hits each for Alvernia. Lascala also drove in a team-high two runs, and Splain scored three runs of her own.

Alvernia will close out its spring break trip tomorrow with games against PSU Abington and Gwynedd Mercy.
