Throwers Compete at Shippensburg

Shippensburg, Pa. (April 20, 2023) - Alvernia University Track and Field throwers competed at the Shipppensburg Mid-Week Invitational on Wednesday evening in track and field action.

On the women's side, Isabella Lesko was the top finisher for Alvernia with a 12th place finish in the javelin with a throw of 29.21m. Dianna Morganti also had a 13th place finish in the discus with a throw of 30.74m.

On the men's side, Giovanni Rivera-Jusino grabbed a 7th place finish in the discus with a personal record throw of 38.43m. Aidan Chumas also had a top-10 finish for Alvernia with a 9th place throw of 35.03m in the javelin.

The full track and field team is back in action on Friday for the first day of the Widener Invitational.
