Frederick, Md. (April 3, 2023) - Alvernia University Men's Golf finished in third place overall on Monday following the second and final day of the MAC Preview, hosted by Hood College at The Club at P.B. Dye.

Alvernia fired a second day total of 339 to finish with a two-day total of 669. The host Blazers took first place with a two-day total of 638, and were the only team in the field of three to improve on their first day total. Hood's Will Kujawa took first with a two-day total of 149.

Alvernia was led by Luke Fagley, who finished t-4th with a round of 83 for a two-day total of 164. Fagley's round was highlighted by a birdie on the par five 17th. He also had eight pars on the day.

Alvernia had three golfers finish t-10th with two-day totals of 169. Dylan Byers shot an 89 on day two, Tyler Cebular shot an 83, and Jackson Hoovler shot an 84. Cebular, playing as an individual, improved his Sunday score by three strokes, and Hoovler improved by one stroke. 

Jack Lynam finished in 13th with two-day total of 170 after shooting an 86 on day two.

Owen Wisner finished in 16th with a two-day total of 176. Wisner improved by four strokes on Monday with a round of 86.

Alvernia is back in action on Thursday at the Elizabethtown Invitational, hosted at Hershey Country Club.
