Alvernia and Boreman Take First at Elizabethtown

Hershey, Pa. (April 6, 2023) - McKylie Boreman and Alvernia Women's Golf took first place on Thursday at the Elizabethtown College Invitational, hosted at Hershey Country Club's East Course.

Boreman shot a 9-over 80 to pace the Golden Wolves. Boreman had three pars on the front nine before posting an even 35 on the back nine. Boreman's back nine started off with three straight pars before giving a stroke back on the par three 13th. She immediately got right back on track, though, with a birdie on the par five 14th. Boreman than closed out her round with four straight pars to secure her round of 80.

Finishing two strokes back of Boreman and in third place overall was Katie Lapinsky with a round of 83. Lapinsky had a team-high three birdies on her round, including going birdie-par-birdie on holes one, two, and three. She then opened her back nine with a birdie on the par four tenth.

Finishing in third for Alvernia and fifth overall was Rylee Stenzel with a round of 89. Stenzel finished with seven pars on her round, including five straight to open her back nine.

Rounding out Alvernia's counting scores was Autumn Wolf with a round of 103 to finish t-16th overall. Wolf's round was highlighted by a birdie on the par five sixth and a par on the par four 15th.

Paige Damon finished as Alvernia's fifth with a round of 107.

Alvernia is back in action on Tuesday at LedgeRock for its home invitational.
