Women's Basketball Announces 2023-24 Schedule

Reading, Pa. (Sept. 27, 2023) -  Alvernia University Women's Basketball announced its 2023-2024 schedule on Monday, and the season is set to get underway on Saturday, November 11th.

Alvernia, who finished 2022-23 with an overall record of 20-10 and 11-5 in MAC Commonwealth play, will open its 2023-24 season on the road at the Bridgewater Tip-Off Tournament. The Golden Wolves will take on Catholic University on November 11th and will then face Rutgers-Newark on November 12th. 

The Golden Wolves will remain on the road for their next two games - traveling to William Paterson on November 15th and Stockton on November 18th - before they host their home opener on November 21st hosting Penn State Brandywine. 

After having off for the weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday, Alvernia returns home on November 27th to host Rutgers-Camden. Alvernia then has off for nearly two weeks before hosting Immaculata on December 12th. The Alvernia homestand concludes on December 16th as the Golden Wolves host Goucher. 

The Golden Wolves then head south to Florida for the Daytona Beach Shootout on December 20th and 21st. Alvernia will take on Thomas College on the 20th and will then face Wisconsin Lutheran on the 21st. 

After a few days off for the holidays, Alvernia returns to action on December 30th at Wilkes. The Golden Wolves then open MAC Commonwealth play on the road at York College.

Alvernia returns home for three straight games beginning on January 6th against Albright. The Golden Wolves then host Messiah on January 10th and Widener on January 13th.

Alvernia then hits the road again to take on Eastern on January 17th and Stevenson on January 20th before returning home to host Hood on January 24th.

The Golden Wolves then make the short trip across town to Albright on January 27th and head to Messiah on January 31st. Alvernia then opens up round two of MAC Commonwealth play on February 3rd hosting York. Alvernia remains at home on February 7th to host Eastern.

Alvernia's final leg of regular season play gets underway on February 10th at Widener and the Golden Wolves then head to Hood on February 13th. Alvernia closes out its regular season on February 17th hosting Stevenson.
